Post-Catalyst O₂ Emulator (Euro 5+)

This module is a post-catalyst  oxygen sensor emulator, designed for modern Euro 5 / Euro 5+ ECUs and engineered to operate as part of the Superflow system.

It accurately reproduces the electrical behavior of a healthy catalytic converter, allowing the ECU to validate catalyst efficiency even when:

  • the catalytic converter has been removed,

  • a high-flow / racing catalyst is installed,

  • or exhaust and fueling have been modified.

Unlike basic resistor-based devices or static signal generators, this emulator produces a dynamic and context-aware post-cat lambda signal, closely matching real-world catalyst behavior.

Why Superflow is required

A real catalytic converter does not behave the same during steady cruising, acceleration, or deceleration.
For this reason, the post-cat signal must react subtly and coherently to engine operating conditions.

This emulator relies on Superflow to access real-time ECU data (via OBD/CAN), allowing it to:

  • Slightly adapt post-catalyst behavior during acceleration events

  • Remain stable and damped during fuel cut and deceleration

  • Avoid unrealistic reactions that could trigger ECU correlation checks

  • Maintain a consistent, believable catalyst efficiency model under all conditions

Without this contextual information, a standalone emulator would necessarily behave as a static approximation.
By being managed by Superflow, the post-cat signal remains adaptive, realistic, and ECU-consistent.
